How to Get Here

3 Valley RV Resort is just outside of the tiny village of Yahk (population 127), in the heart of BC's beautiful Kootenay Mountains. We are fronted by the crystal clear Moyie River and backed by thousands of miles of mountainous Crown Land.

We're at the junction of Highway 95 (Cranbrook to the US border) and Highway 3 (west to Creston) ... so everything you need is close at hand, and yet you're in the middle of nowhere, with nothing but mountains, sunshine and the sound of the Moyie River whisking past your door.

At 3 Valley, you're family. You can move in when the spring flowers are poking their heads up in May and stay 'til the crisp days at the end of October. You can also leave your unit at any time safe in the knowledge that your fellow campers will keep an eye on things until your return.
Nothing's very far away!

Creston BC: 30 minutes west. Cruise down the main street and you’ll find roadside produce stands and grain elevators looking out over vast fields – right alongside fine restaurants and charming cafés, state-of-the art recreation facilities, theatres and galleries, cool and quirky shops, a variety of professional services, and much more. Recreation on nearby Kootenay Lake, golfing, bird-watching and discovering the thriving agri-tourism sector are some popular pastimes that the Creston Valley has to offer.

Cranbrook BC: 45 minutes north. With a population just over 20,000, Cranbrook is the largest urban centre in the region. Everything you need, you will find in Cranbrook. From fast food to fine dining, and hardware to hair salons, it's here.

Kimberley BC: 1 hour north. You'll want to experience the town's downtown core. It's called "The Platzl" and in the evening it is magical ... and so very Bavarian. Kimberley is a resort town ... with a ski hill that's 3 minutes from downtown. There are no less than 8 excellent (many of them professional) golf courses within a half hour of town. You might want to take a tour on the Kimberley Underground Mining Railway. And, of course, there is hiking, biking and river rafting too.

Fort Steele Heritage Town: 1 hour north. This is a delightful little heritage site that has tons of events on weekends throughout the summer. It features heritage buildings, heritage trades, heritage livestock and heritage gardens. There's the Wild Horse Live theatre that plays every day from Canada Day to the end of the Labour Day long weekend, and Fort Steele Railway Company that runs an authentic 1923 steam train that will take you for a trip back through time. You can shop in boutiques and eat at heritage restaurants that have Fort Steele Mountain Ale on draught! Based on the original brewery recipe from the 1800s, this beer is aged naturally and preservative free!

Kootenay Lake: 1 hour north west. This is one of the largest lakes in BC. It measures 67 miles long by 3 miles wide at its widest point. It's up to 490 feet deep and warm enough that it doesn't freeze over in the winter. The lake features a year-round toll-free ferry that is the longest free scenic ferry in the world. This lake is a popular summer tourist destination.

If Golfing's Your Game: within 2 hours of 3 Valley you will find more than a dozen stunning golf courses.

Looking for an adventure Stateside?

Bonner's Ferry ID: 50 minutes. According to TripAdvisor, here are the top five things to do and see

Sandpoint ID: 1.5 hours. On the shores of Idaho's largest lake and surrounded by three mountain ranges, Sandpoint is a jewel -- so much so that in 2011 it was named that nation's "Most Beautiful Small Town" by Rand McNally and USA Today. Sandpoint has a wide array of outdoor sports to enjoy, as well as arts and cultural happenings every week.

Coeur d'Alene ID: 2.5 hours. Free carriage rides. The Art Walk. Weekly concerts. Weekly farmer's markets. Festivals. Fireworks. A Half Iron Man ... and something called "Live After Five".  This place is bustling, I tell you! And beautiful? Coeur d'Alene by night is ridiculously romantic as all the city lights twinkle on the lake.

Spokane WA: 3 hours. Amazing attractions, incredible arts and delectable dining ... and "an historic past living seamlessly with a vibrant future". From thrilling whitewater adventures to inspiring art and powerful Broadway performances, the Spokane Region is worth the trip.

Eureka MT: 3 hours (2.5 hours if you take the shortcut). Feeling whimsical? This place is small. And quiet. And quaint. It has this amazing restaurant though. It's called The Front Porch Grill and Trading. At this restaurant you can order the Huckleberry Hamburger. Oh, sure, it has a bun and a meat patty ... but it also has jalapenos ... and huckleberry ice cream and huckleberry jam in it. (Yes, you read that right!) It's AMAZING (and made by a chef who is celebrated in New York City and Paris, France). 'Nuff said. Go there.
